A beautiful ceramic depiction of the Jericho tree used by Zacchaeus to see Jesus. The story goes that one day Jesus was passing through Jericho , among the crowd waiting to see him was a wealthy tax collector by the name of Zacchaeus, short in height, he had climbed a sycamore fig tree, known as the "Jericho Tree" in order to gain advantage and be able to see Jesus upon entering the city. As Jesus came closer to the tree, he saw Zaccaheas and asked him to come down to be his guest for the night. Luke 19:1-10
