Our Coffee Story, From the Holy Land to Colorado

The Bannoura family with our roasting partner at the roaster in Colorado

For the Bannoura family, coffee has always been more than a drink. Growing up in Bethlehem, coffee was part of everyday life: welcoming guests, gathering with family and friends, and sharing conversation around the table.

We grew up loving coffee with a rich flavor, a wonderful aroma and a strong, satisfying character. It is part of the hospitality and culture of the Holy Land.

After many years of sharing the handcrafted treasures of Bethlehem with our customers, we thought: why not share another tradition we love, our coffee?

A friendship from the Holy Land, made in Colorado

Here in Colorado, we became friends with a local coffee roaster who also comes from the Holy Land, from Galilee. Together we began working on coffees inspired by the flavors and style we grew up enjoying. After tasting, adjusting and roasting, our five Holy Land inspired blends were born.

Roasted in small batches

Every bag is roasted in small batches on a classic drum roaster by our friends at Espresso Smith Coffee Company LLC in Commerce City, Colorado, then cooled quickly to lock in aroma. Each bag is whole bean coffee, net weight 10 oz. We roast, taste and adjust until each blend tastes the way we remember coffee at home.

A love of espresso

Our roasting partner collects and restores vintage lever espresso machines, and several of our blends were tuned on them. If you love espresso, start with the Holy Land Blend or the Jerusalem Blend.
