L 6.5" x W 5.5" x H 13" This skillful chiseling of aged olive wood depicts Jesus Christ as the Man of Sorrows as blood drips from his head that is crowned with thorns. The intricate carving of the face’s complexions express Jesus’s agony before His crucifixion with his hands tied on His way to forgive us our sins. This statue of our Lord reminds us of Jesus’ endless and great love for humanity that he would go through all of this agony just for us. “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” Isaiah 53:3
