Inspiring Bible Verses for 2020 to Start the New Decade

The new decade is here! New Year’s Eve is the perfect time for the family to get together and celebrate the end of a year. However, this year we aren’t just celebrating the end of a year, but of a decade!

Here’s hoping and praying that the new one will be full of opportunities and new chances to get closer to God and the people around us.

Let's start 2020 with bible verses that will inspire us to leave the last decade behind, and look forward to the new one hoping to be closer to Our Lord and Saviour and his encouraging words.

The English Bible With A Wooden Cover

Read the following verses with a rosary in hand, or in a focused and a prayer state of mind to help you frame this following year with a positive and faithful outlook.

Even though we don’t know what’s in store for us this new decade, let’s pray and find hope in God’s words.

Lamentations 3:22-26

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him! The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

Proverbs 23:18

18 There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

Isaiah 40:30-31

30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Ephesians 4:22-24

22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Jeremiah 29:11
